  • Iowa Report night, held at the Iowa Police Department
  • Cameron Parish Report day, held at the Cameron Parish Court House
  • Westlake Report night, held at the Westlake Police Department
  • Dequincy Report night, held at he Dequincy Police Station
  • Lake Arthur Report night, held at the Lake Arthur Police Station
  • Vinton Report night, held at the Vinton Police Station
  • Welsh Report night, held at the Welsh Police Department

We initiated a report night for our Lake Charles District Office for our offender population whose working hours prevent them from reporting during the normal work day hours.  All of our report days and nights are held the first & second weeks of each month. Our field agents maintain a presence at these locations continually.

Demographics/ Stats

The Lake Charles District Office supervises (at any given time) between 3750 to 3850 offenders in southwest Louisiana.  Our jurisdiction covers Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jefferson Davis Parishes. Calcasieu has two thirds of our total offender population.  We serve 8 judges in Calcasieu and 1 judge each in Jefferson Davis and Cameron.  We handle a large number of out-of-state probation & parole cases due to our location on the Texas/Louisiana State border.

Special Community Projects

Our district office has spear-headed, organized, and participated in a number of community projects, such as the following:

OPEN DOOR PROGRAM:

This program was created to provide assistance to women in need, such as life skills, parenting skills, and coping skills.  This program was 3 years in the planning stage. The committee met during this period in the Lake Charles District Office.

OUT-4-LIFE PROJECT:

The Lake Charles District works with the local Out-4-Life committee in an effort to establish local housing and employement opportunities for offenders returning to the community from DOC Custody.
