COMMUNITY SERVICES

Restorative Justice
- The idea is for the offender to recognize that crime is wrong and should not occur and to give them a median to make things as right as possible through either service or by learning skills to repair relationships and correct damage they have caused. At EHCC, offenders are provided with opportunities to take the moment and learn from it through offender programs and community services. Through these opportunities, we hope to instill values, ethics, responsibility, accountability and civility to those who participate and to return to our communities individuals who are ready to take responsibility for their crime and become a productive member of society.

Observation of Crime Victims Rights - For further assistance, the Crime Victims Services Bureau is an agency that is dedicated to help those in need. If information is needed, no matter how 'insignificant' it may seem, staff is just a phone call away; Crime Victims Services Bureau at 1-888-342-6110.

Offender Organizations - EHCC has nine offender organizations: Hunt Junior Chamber of Commerce (EHCC Jaycees); Health & Fitness; Music; Alumni Association; Hunt Sobriety Seekers (AA/NA); Men of Faith; Catholic Men's Fellowship; Students of Islam; Music Club; WalkTalk; Veterans Incarcerated and Toastmasters. They all seek to provide a means for the offenders to use their time productively and to learn to give something back to society, within and outside the prison confines.

The purpose of the Jaycees is to help its members become better, more responsible citizens by providing leadership training via Individual Development, Management Development and Community Development. Additionally, this organization instills civic consciousness by serving the community through organized projects.

The Health & Fitness organization seeks to instill physical consciousness and to promote active, constructive projects.

The Music Association seeks to foster interest in the development of musical skills and the social consciousness and professional character development associated with the pursuit of an artistic field via volunteering labor, providing entertainment and sponsorship through monetary donation and labor.

The Alumni Association seeks to promote educational and self-help programs within the facility by assisting students with goal setting & achievement.

The Hunt Sobriety Seekers (AA/NA) purpose is to provide the group the opportunity to better themselves by sharing experiences, strengths and hopes and to promote the welfare of both inmates and the outside community through active, constructive projects.

The Men of Faith, Catholic Men's Fellowship and Students of Islam. all seek to rehabilitate through the study of God, to instill a respect for laws & authority, and to afford each member an opportunity to grow spiritually and intellectually.

The WalkTalk Club has the membership of all offenders housed at EHCC. This club puts together a bi-weekly newsletter and quarterly magazine.
